Technically Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CPVC) is PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) that has been chlorinated via a free radical chlorination reaction. Various additives like stabilizers, impact modifiers, pigments and lubricants are also added into the resin in order to make the material processing and more durable for desired applications.

Cut the pipe square, clean and deburr the ends, then join with the recommended solvent cement or fitting. Let the joint cure before pressurising the line.
